“All young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity,
deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential.”
                  -Harvey Milk

My 2011 summer internship was with YouthPride RI, an organization that provides safety, resources and support to all GBLT youth in Rhode Island.Founded in 1993 as a weekly support group, Youth Pride became its own non profit organization and has been growing ever since. Today we have a program space that is double the size of our last one. Our drop in center today provides a safe haven for GBLT youth as well as support programs, organized activities and educational resources.
