Hello and welcome!
My name is Liz Nahod, I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in the spring of 2012, majoring in Psychology.
I completed an internship for the URI summer session at Youth Pride in 2011, a center in Providence Rhode Island for Gay, Bisexual, Lesbian, Transgender, Queer and Questioning youth, and their straight allies. Youth Pride provides a safe, supportive environment for youth to meet and socialize and a number of programs including one on one professional counseling, HIV education and prevention, and activities such as yoga and crafts. Youth Pride strives to improve the lives of and encourage the healthy growth and development of GBLT youth in Rhode Island, and to educate and fight discrimination against these young people.
